Firstly I just want to say hello and welcome to my new blog! After taking some time out from blogging over the past year or so, I’m back and I’ve got a bunch of ideas for posts that I’m going to start sharing on here over the next few weeks.
This first post is going to be all about – rose gold and pink! I was originally going to do a July favourites post but then I noticed a good proportion of what was on my list was basically rose gold or pink so I thought let’s just do a post focusing on that. I’ve really got into the whole rose gold/copper trend recently and I love the colour pink too, so here are some of my favourite accessories right now (a lipstick and a nail polish has ended up as part of the post too).
Let’s start with this bag which is from M&S. It’s the perfect colour for this time of year, it says it’s lilac but it does look quite pink so I decided to include it in this post. I’d had my eye on it for a while then it went into the half price sale last month so I knew I definitely had to have it then. I do love a good sale, don’t we all? I wasn’t sure about the practicality of it at first, what with it being quite small and without a main zip but I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it works brilliantly. I love the silver coloured ring (handle?) on it too. The purse is from Next, that was a gift from my parents at Christmas last year, it’s got such a lovely metallic look to it.
The pineapple is from New Look, it is actually a money box but I’m just using it as an ornament on top of my cubes at the moment, the letter V is from Hobbycraft and the basket is from Primark – I bought this last month, I’m currently using it to store books in on my cubes but I might transfer it to my desk to stand a few books in soon.
The pink pencil case I bought from Sainsbury’s, I also got these rose gold pencils from there too and the flamingo keyring is from Next, it’s so cute!
Next up is jewellery, the bangle with writing on is from Boots, the other bracelet is from Matalan Both are great for styling up an outfit.
The pink nail polish is a Rimmel London one called ‘Sweet Retreat’ it stayed on pretty well even after gardening/washing up so that’s definitely a plus for me! I wore this lipstick probably the most last month – it’s a Maybelline New York one, the shade is ‘Fairly Bare’ it’s from their Color Sensational Blushed Nudes collection. It’s such a pretty pale pink colour.
These pretty rose gold sliders are from Primark, I picked them up the same time as the basket, this is the first time I’ve bought any footwear from Primark but these are so awesome, the fit is great too. I did try them on in the shop before I bought them and knew instantly they were going to be great.
…and that is everything!
What are your favourite trends right now, are you a fan of rose gold and pink at the moment too?
