This is a post I’ve been meaning to do since the start of the year, so these are some of the recent additions to my make-up collection from the past few months.
I’ve been wanting to try MAC Lipsticks for quite a while, I mean it’s been a few years now but I could never decide on what shade to get (there really are so many lovely ones) so I’m glad MAC released this Snow Ball Mini Lipstick Kit at Christmas, there are 12 awesome shades in this collection. I think my top 3 so far would probably have to be Ruby Woo (it’s a classic – this was the first one I tried at Christmas) Rebel (love the purple) and Party Commencing which I felt was very apt to wear on my birthday. Thanks to my parents for getting this for me for Christmas.
So here are 6 them, from L-R: Party Commencing, Little Darling, Mangrove, Please Me, Ruby Woo, Rebel
…And the other 6, L-R: Flat Out Fab, Good Kisser, Diva, Velvet Teddy, Whirl, Stone
For me the fragrance of a product can really make or break whether I like it or not, especially when it’s a lipstick but these are really nice, I love the sweet scent they have.
Another present I got for Christmas is this Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. This is another product I had been looking to get for a while. I decided I wanted number 3 in the end because I really like the shades in this one the most. The eyeshadows are a lovely texture. I haven’t got round to using the brush yet because I’m one of those people who doesn’t want to just put a random combo of eyeshadow on it when it’s still so new but the brush does look great, I’ll definitely start using it soon. The mirror is a great size in this too.
Here’s a quick photo of me from my birthday, wearing the MAC Lipstick in Party Commencing, I was also wearing eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette in this one too.
This is the first time I’ve tried any Ciaté beauty products other than their nail polish and I am really pleased with the quality of these Ciaté Liquid Velvet Mini Lipsticks from their Kiss Collective Duo set, I got them in the sale from M&S just before Christmas. They are a lovely texture and are great to wear, one of the best lot of liquid lipsticks I’ve tried in my opinion.
I picked up this No7 Eyebrow set half price in the Boots sale, the eyebrow pencil had been on my to buy list since last year but I just hadn’t got round to getting it so I’m glad I waited because I was able to get it in this rather cool set – for the same price might I add as what the pencil would have been on it’s own. I love the iridescent packaging on this too. I also really love the angled tip on the eyebrow pencil, that’s what really drew me to this product first of all, I like how you can just wind it back in when you’ve finished and it has a great brush on the other end. The palette is lovely too and it comes with a brush as well.
Last but not least, a No 7 lipstick in this cute pale pink shade Iced Pink, this is such a pretty colour.
Also, I recently took part in a blog interview for Jess Cantoni’s blog so do go and check that out too if you haven’t already.
Have you tried any of these products before?
