Spring In The Garden

Spring is one of my most favourite times of the year, from the bulbs that start growing to the other plants that grow and start flowering again. Some of these have been added to the garden recently and others have been here for a while. I did a similar post in the autumn which you can find here Autumn-ful Of Photos but first, on with this post!

orange flowers

I actually took this photo of these orange flowers before I’d planted them but I really like the clarity of it so I’ve decided to make it the main photo of the post rather than take another photo now they’ve been planted.

peaches and cream tulip

Peaches and Cream tulips are so pretty, they didn’t do as well this year (I think that may have had something to do with the snow) they still looked lovely though.

a leafy shrub

I love the shape of this right now, it looks a bit like a mini tree.

female blackbird, young blackbird and a male sparrow on a feeder dish

The sparrows are enjoying feeding out of this dish at the moment (Mr blackbird will go on it sometimes as well as a wood-pigeon)… there’s been at least 2 if not 3 new young blackbirds who have fledged the nest and joined the garden fam in the past month as well which is great.

pink topped plant

Love the colour of this, it’s gone a pale yellow green colour now but it still looks lovely.

blue flowers

wallflower

We got these wallflowers last year and didn’t expect them to do anything this year but we left them in the pot and they decided to flower again.

young starlings

The starlings have been visiting our garden more recently, this evening they bought some of their young with them. How cute are they?!

purple flowers

orange flower

I could go on but I’ll leave it at that for now, if I get enough pictures there might be a part 2 at some point. Are you a fan of spring?
