I’m trying out something a little bit different to my usual ‘(insert season here) in the garden’ blog post today… autumn – in the garden, in the dark! Last month I wanted to take a quick photo in the garden when it was dark and decided to use my selfie light, then I thought why not see what a flower comes out like? And loved the result (if you want to see that one it’s on my Instagram) so when I had to go outside for something this evening as it was getting dark I thought I’d try and get a few more photos with my selfie light – this is the result.Continue reading
Okay so we might be very nearly in autumn now but here it is, my summer in the garden blog post, featuring plants, flowers and more general zoomed out photos of the garden than I’ve ever posted on here before… plus a collage of wildlife photos just because.Continue reading
I thought it was about time I did an autumn in the garden blog post, I did do a post full of photos of autumn plants last year, you can find that here – Autumn-ful Of Photos. This year my post is going to be focused more on plants generally around the garden this autumn rather than just sharing photos with an autumn aesthetic… though some photos do of course still have that too.
I already did a Spring In The Garden blog post earlier this year so I thought it might be a good idea to do a summer one too, especially since yet more plants have been added to the garden recently (we’re really getting underway with the garden transformation now, I mean it’s possible it’s actually, maybe nearly finished!)
So here we are with another blog post featuring my top 5 things from the previous month, this time from the month of June. Now I don’t know about you guys but the heat has made it virtually impossible to do anything let alone blog over the past few days, I love summer but 31 degrees like it was yesterday has been a bit too hot for me. Once again I’m joining in with the linky from Georgia & Stanley and Rachael if you would like to join in too (it would be great if you did) the button with the link is at the bottom of this post.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a favourites type post on my blog, in fact looking back, September was actually the last time I did one like this, so it really was quite some time ago. This month I am joining in with a 5 things linky (you can find the link to this at the bottom of the post) so in no particular order, here are 5 of my favourite things from May.
It’s been a while since I’ve walked around Plymouth, in recent times (I mean the past 10 years or so) I’ve gone shopping there but haven’t really been anywhere else around there, it’s a brilliant city to explore though.
Spring is one of my most favourite times of the year, from the bulbs that start growing to the other plants that grow and start flowering again. Some of these have been added to the garden recently and others have been here for a while. I did a similar post in the autumn which you can find here Autumn-ful Of Photos but first, on with this post!
Yesterday was supposed to be the first day of spring according to the meteorological calendar but we’ve had so much snow here in the past 24 or so hours, I mean I don’t think I’ve ever seen this much snow before.
So today is the first day of this year’s RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch, which is running from the 27th – 29th January.
What better way to follow on from yesterday’s post than with a post all about wildlife in the garden. We have a variety of wildlife that visit our garden, some are regulars and then there’s the pheasant that’s just visited once.
